Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Welcome to the Diversity Advocacy Alliance. I’m honored to serve as chair and grateful that you are joining us in shaping a more inclusive future for the furnishings and design industries.

Our industries thrive on creativity, individual perspective, and the exchange of ideas. Yet talented professionals from historically underrepresented racial and ethnic communities have not always had equal access to the relationships, resources, and opportunities that help careers and businesses grow. DAA exists to help close those gaps—and to ensure that these professionals are seen, supported, and positioned to lead.

Our work is guided by three connected commitments: Amplify. Access. Advance.

We amplify underrepresented voices, talent, and stories, creating greater visibility and meaningful influence across our industries. We expand access to mentorship, education, professional connections, and opportunity. And we advance leadership and industry practices that make lasting progress possible.

As chair, I want our impact to be reflected in what people experience: a valuable introduction, a stronger professional network, a new business opportunity, or a clearer path to leadership. That means listening closely to the communities we serve, building thoughtful partnerships, and holding ourselves accountable for meaningful results.

As we look ahead, we are working to deepen the connections built at High Point Market and extend DAA’s reach as a year-round national resource. There is a place in this effort for professionals at every career stage, industry partners, and allies who share our commitment. Whether you come seeking support, offering experience, or opening a door for someone else, your participation matters.

The DAA produces engaging programming throughout the year in partnership with major design and home furnishings markets. Through panel discussions, workshops, and conversations, we elevate diverse voices, inspire creativity, and help mentor the next generation of industry leaders.
